The Chamber takes a lead in bringing together various community groups with specific interests and agendas and helps the different groups to find the difficult solutions to community challenges. A recent example is the Chamber of Commerce Itinerant Retailers Task Force whose concrete recommendations made to the City of Cranbrook were adopted by the City in a recent bylaw. The Chamber is especially proud of its non-adversarial relationship with the local municipal government. The voice the Chamber now enjoys in local municipal decisions is the direct result of the Chamber working for the interests of its Members in a constructive way.
