Remcan Projects LP, one of Canada’s largest rail contractors, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Rick Hardy Construction Services Ltd. Remcan viewed the Cranbrook/Southeast BC region as a strategic area for rail service expansion. By acquiring a pre-eminent construction service company such as Hardy Construction, Remcan will be able to accelerate its business growth plan for the region. Hardy Construction has built a name for high quality service and integrity, Remcan will build and grow on this foundation for the region. All employees of Hardy Construction have been retained by Remcan.

Mike Hardy,  the Regional Superintendent for Remcan Projects LP would like to advise all past customers of Hardy Construction that the East Kootenay division of Remcan will continue to offer a wide variety of civil construction services in  Cranbrook and area. The same attention to quality, customer service and value that was offered by Hardy Construction will continue with Remcan. Remcan now has approximately 40 employees within the East Kootenay, effective immediately will be based out of the former Hardy Construction facility at 1000 Cobham Road West in Cranbrook. Remcan anticipates the work force in the East Kootenay will continue to grow based on railway and civil construction demands within the region.
