Cranbrook Chamber Hosts Municipal Candidates to Talk Business

Our members fund our work. Our work must be for them.

The Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce hosted a municipal election event at College of the Rockies, hyper-focused on the needs of our members and businesses here in Cranbrook.

The work of a chamber is community impact work. Any issue that impacts the community can be conflated with a chamber’s issues to address. Therefore it is critical for our non-profit to continually assess our role and opportunities to lead work that is action and outcome positive.

That’s why we brought more than 50 members of the business community together with the candidates.

The return on our investments in relationship-building are alive and well, and we have opened the door to many current and future broader collaborations with our working partners.

The Chamber is eager to work with our next Mayor and Council. We thank every candidate who has stepped into the ring to serve.

This was more than a grab-your-coffee-and-hear-from-your-candidates session on Tuesday September 29, moderated by Bill Bennett. This was also:

  • hearing and amplifying what matters to our members as they submitted questions
  • opening the door to creating and building relationships with the future Mayor and Council
  • highlighting some of the Chamber’s success in working with the City of Cranbrook
  • supporting the future Mayor and Council by providing an additional platform for them to connect with business
  • demonstrating that our Chamber is ready to do big things because of an incredibly dedicated small team of staff and volunteer Board of Directors (we had 5 Directors supporting the staff onsite at this event).

A special thank you to Chamber Member and Past President Bill Bennett for serving as our moderator and helping guide an informative and respectful discussion.

The Chamber is all in for Cranbrook.
