17th Annual Cranbrook Chamber Turkey Drive

The 2026 Cranbrook Chamber Turkey Drive, sponsored by Cranbrook Hyundai, is an annual fundraiser to assist the Salvation Army and the Cranbrook Food Bank’s Christmas Hamper programs.

This year, the Chamber has received some sponsorship support to help us cover our own costs of delivering this important community fundraiser. We’ve taken these steps to ensure sustainability of this program, so that we can continue to support families, seniors and other Cranbrook residents.

THE HISTORY OF THE TURKEY DRIVE

It all began when one of our local community agencies announced to the community that they would not have enough resources to fill the Hamper program. Members, staff and volunteers of the Chamber leapt to action, phoning members of the Chamber for support, and within 4 hours had raised the money to ensure that families and residents in need would receive a hamper.

We continue this tradition to this day with stupendous community volunteers, countless generous businesses, and some sponsorship support for the Chamber. This fundraiser not only feeds those in need, but is here to take incredible financial pressures off both recipient organizations. The Salvation Army and the Cranbrook Food Bank give assistance year-round to those in our community, and our Turkey Drive allows them to focus on what they do best: helping individuals and families in our community.

Donations are open from November 12th – December 25, 2026.

It takes a whole team effort to raise these funds.

This year, the Chamber has been so fortunate to enlist Shannon Fisher as our Grand Turkey. You may know Shannon from her role as the former owner of Top Crop Garden, Farm & Pet. Shannon spearheaded several community fundraising initiatives over the years, creating major positive impact for families when they needed it the most.

Watch out for Shannon and her team! She has assembled a group of Pluckers who will be out and about.

Our Top Fundraiser 2025 – Jason Caven

Each year, the Chamber selects a “Grand Turkey” to lead the team of fundraisers (aka “Pluckers”” to go into the community and drum up awareness and raise funds so we can reach our goal. In 2025, Chamber member Ben Ankenbauer was our Grand Turkey and he put together a tremendous team that raised over $72,000.

The Golden Turkey Trophy for the top fundraiser was awarded to Jason Caven.

This friendly spirit of competition helps to drive donations and has become a traditional holiday event in Cranbrook for the past 16 years.
