Non-Essential Travel Restrictions on Impacted Routes

  • Drive BC will have the most up to date information regarding road conditions and closures. Please continue to monitor this website if you decide to travel.
  • If you are travelling, please travel with a full tank of gas, plenty of food and water, and adequate supplies. Conditions can change rapidly, and delays may occur.

Province prioritizes fuel for essential vehicles and introduces travel restrictions

  • “Effective immediately through Dec 1, 2021 non-essential vehicles will be limited to 30 litres per trip to the gas station in the following areas: the Lower Mainland-to-Hope region, the Sea-to-Sky region, Sunshine Coast, the Gulf Islands, and Vancouver Island. People in those areas are also being asked to avoid all non-essential road travel for the fuel restriction period.”
