PRESS RELEASE: Citizen of the Year Nominations Open!

 

CRANBROOK, B.C., (October 20, 2021) – The Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the 2021 Cranbrook Citizen of the Year.

The Citizen of the Year is an outstanding community builder who contributes significant volunteer time to enhancing the quality of life in Cranbrook. This individual demonstrates extraordinary leadership and community service outside of employment. Well respected in the community, they inspire others with their caring and positive attitude and spirit of cooperation.

“This is an exceptional award for an extraordinary citizen,” said Chamber Executive Director Helen Barron.  “If you look at the list of past recipients you will see a number of our citizens who have substantially contributed to making Cranbrook a great place to live, work, and play.”  The Chamber has coordinated this award since 1973.

You are invited to nominate an exceptional individual who through their efforts has made Cranbrook a better place.

Nominators are asked to advance the name of the nominee along with supporting documents outlining the range of community contribution, years of active involvement, and positions held within organizations or groups that benefit Cranbrook.  A minimum of three letters of support are required to accompany the nomination.
